This is a brief summary highlighting my education and experience.
In Barcelona, Catalonia.
On June 2011, I graduated in Higher Education in Dietetics (CFGS) at IES Les Vinyes. This concluded a two-year journey that allowed me to learn dietetics, nutrition, physiology, food quality control, microbiology, and much more.
For my final project, I taught myself how to code, and developed a software for advanced nutrition calculations.
Motivated by my life-long interest in biology, the environment, ecology, sustainability, technology, and programming, I start studying for a Degree in Biological Systems Engineering, at ESAB (UPC).
During the first year, I combine engineering with Basic Chinese at the Official Language School in Drassanes, Barcelona.
During the spare time I have while studying at university, I start helping people from different backgrounds learn how to solve mathematical problems and overcoming their difficulties in studies.
The process of preparing and doing my best to help the students learn results in a great learning experience for me too.
Motivated by the desire to help others learn, I start developing an educational RPG game in Catalan during my spare time, and I also start creating some educational content.
This experience was the seed which, a few years later, influenced me in order to start my current entrepreneurship project.
After a few years of hard work and effort, I graduate and officially become a bioengineer. My time at Escola Superior de Barcelona (ESAB) allowed me to grow and develop skills in the field of bioengineering. Some of the subjects I studied include biological systems modeling, genomics, aquatic organisms production, water treatment, biological waste treatment, bioreactors, etc.
For my Final Degree Project, I participated in the development of a mathematical model for the analysis and assessment of tuberculosis epidemiology dynamics. The work was directed and supervised by Dr. Daniel López Codina and Dr. Clara Prats and is available here.
On September 2016, I started studying a master in Bioinformatics for Health Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). During the two years of the master, I learned Structural Bioinformatics; Genomics; Computer-Assisted Drug Design; Python, Perl and Shell Programming; and more.
For the Master project thesis, I developed the CoDysAn webpage and tool, for congenital dyserythropoietic anemia. The paper that resulted from my work was published and it is available here.
